The girls have recently started taking Upwards Cheer - yes, we needed just one more thing to add to our already busy calendar ;-) This is our first time to do Upwards, but from what I can tell, it is run really well organizationally and I like the added benefit that it is a Christian organization. I like the fact that their uniforms are conservative, yet still cute, and the cheers aren't "provocative" in nature. I also appreciate the fact that they do Scripture memory, participate in team devotionals and that the organization stresses developing good, moral character. An added bonus is that it only lasts a few months which works out great for our schedule. I'm sure I'll be posting more pics once the games begin in January ;-)
