So we survived the Fashion Frenzy last night. The girls did a great job and thankfully I did not fall flat on my face!
Before the show, the girls got their hair done at Great Clips - they thought they were so big. I thought it would be a fun part of their "girly" day. Then I got my hair and make-up done at Uptown Salon. I wouldn't normally do that but it was free and one of the "perks" of modeling in the show. Even though it was way more make-up and poofy hair than I would normally wear, it was kind of nice being pampered ;-)
The Fashion Frenzy had a really great turnout and was able to raise a lot of funds for Meals on Wheels. I was very impressed by all of the hard work the four ladies of Community Footprints put into planning the show. Overall, I think it was a good experience and the girls had a blast!

What Have I Gotten Myself Into?!
As some of you may know, "M" and I are going to be modeling in the upcoming fundraiser for Meals on Wheels called Fashion Frenzy. When I was first asked to "model" for the show, I thought, "Oh sure! That will be great! "M" will have so much fun & it's for a good cause!" But now as the date is getting closer I'm thinking, "What in the world did I agree to?! I'm going to make a total fool of myself and I just pray I don't trip in my 12" stiletto heels!" Well, maybe they aren't 12", but they sure feel that way!

We just had our rehearsal this afternoon & it went okay, but I just don't like public attention. "M", on the other hand, LOVED it! She got out there & strutted her stuff and did a few spins even - hopefully everyone will be watching her little moves and will forget I'm even there ;-)

A few girls from "A's" dance class will be doing a little dance at the show, as well. They look so cute and "A" is very excited that she gets to participate in the show, too. We have several other friends who will be in the show, too, so it really should be a fun night. I have to just remind myself - it's not about me, it's for a good cause! And if I do trip and fall, it can be the comedic act of the night and everyone can get a good laugh ;-)
They would really like to raise a lot of money for Meals on Wheels and are hoping to sell about 200 more tickets. So grab your hubby or a group of girlfriends and I hope to see you at Fashion Frenzy next Saturday night! Just no embarrassing whistles or cat calls, please ;-)
