Prairie Days Festival '09

We attended the Prairie Days Festival in Independence, Kansas today and had sooo much fun! It is always held the 2nd weekend of June and I think this was our 3rd year to go. The weather was perfect and some of our friends were there which helped make it even more fun!

Our girls loooove Little House on the Prairie and, in fact, we are going to take a break from our regular homeschooling curriculum next school year and are planning on doing Little House on the Prairie curriculum. They are really looking forward to it!

Here's a few pics and videos from our day on the Prairie...

Flash Back Friday

This time last year, Steve and I were vacationing in Scottsdale, AZ. We went to celebrate our 16th anniversary and to see one of my best friends, Allana. She is now expecting and I can't wait to meet her little baby boy who should be arriving later this summer! I'm hoping to make another trip out there maybe in September or October. I can't wait!

Pic with Allana and her husband, Barry, from last year's vacation...

And here she is 29 weeks pregnant. Isn't she beautiful and don't they look so happy?!

Gettin' Crafty

I recently took a class at Surcee with some friends and we all made tote bags. They turned out so cute & it was fun to get out with the gals!

Date Night with the Girlz

Steve and I had "Date Night" with the girls last night. He went out with "A" to Baja Jack's Burrito Shack and I took "M" to Burger Street (they get to choose where they want to eat). We really look forward to our time alone with the girls. "A" and Steve also went shopping at Best Buy (I wonder whose idea that was?!) and "M" and I went swimsuit shopping. The girls also typically buy a small gift for each other and they exchange them when we get home. Here's a few pics from our night out...

Kickboxing with Miss Mo

The girls took a kickboxing class with me this past week. The instructor, "Miss Mo", said she would make it a family-friendly class for the summer so our kids could participate, too. They had a great time and got some exercise in, too!

Jazz Night at Utica Square

One of our favorite things to do during the summer time is to go to outdoor concerts and hang out and listen to music. Here's a few pics from last week's concert at Utica Square...

Heritage Park in Sapulpa

Our homeschool Co-Op went to a super fun park last week! It's called "Heritage Park" and it's in Sapulpa, just outside of Tulsa. They had so many things for the kids to do & several benches for the moms to sit on and chat! Here's a few pics from our time at the park...
