Our homeschool co-op had Show and Share Day yesterday. The kids took turns speaking on stage and were asked to share about their favorite book. Then they took questions from the audience about their book. Some even dressed the part or presented a craft they made that correlated with the book they read. It was great experience for the kids and it is helping them learn how to speak in front of an audience.
"M" shared how she loves to read Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. For info on where we got "M's" outfit, visit this previous post. As you can tell in the video below, "M" felt as though she needed to assist "A" in sharing about her book. That's a big sister for you but "A" told me afterwards she would have preferred to go it alone ;-) I was just thrilled they both wanted to get up on stage and share in front of people!
"A" spoke about her favorite book, Fancy Nancy. Some friends of our introduced us to Fancy Nancy several months ago and now we're hooked! We usually check her books out at the library and covet the Fancy Nancy items they have for sale at Target ;-)
