Celebrating Life and Death

My sister lives in OKC and her youngest son turned three recently so we went to his birthday party to celebrate. They had it at an indoor miniature golf place at Quail Springs Mall. The kids had a great time!

While playing putt-putt, every song that was being played on the radio was by Michael Jackson. I thought that was a little odd until I found out he had passed away that day from a heart attack. I was never really a big fan of MJ, but you have to respect his dedication and talent!

I Heart Daddy
by "M", age 9
I heart Daddy and he hearts me.
When I am alone and sad,
He takes care of me!
He encourages me,
He supports me,
He trains me spiritually,
But best of all he hearts me.
Steve's dad, Charlie ;-)

Time To Par-Tay!

The girlz had a blast this past Saturday going to 2 friend's parties! "A" went to a fun American Girl Doll party for her friend, Selah. All of the girls brought their favorite dolls and had brunch out on the back patio. The food was delicious and the decorations were beautiful!

Then, "A" and I went to join "M" who was already at another friend's birthday party. This one was a Little House on the Prairie party for her good friend, Makenzie. It was held at Will Roger's birthplace in Oolagah. I've always wanted to go out there so their party was a perfect excuse! It was so pretty and peaceful there. The kids had a great time playing pioneer games, petting the animals and running around the grounds!
